Interaction with Guests
While you will have the entire cabin to yourself, please note that we (the hosts) live and work on the property. Our tiny home, located 60 feet from the cabin, is visible from the cabin, and we share outside space (i.e driveway, yard, and forest trails).
You are staying on a working property. You will see us around developing our permaculture gardens, chopping wood, building forest paths, and marrying people through our elopement business, Nadair Maine. You might also see guests from our other accommodation - a cozy off-grid glamping cabin in the middle of the forest.
We love connecting with guests who are interested, but we also deeply respect your need for solitude and will give you all the space you desire. If you are looking for a secluded cabin in the middle of the forest, this is not it. If you feel called to be a part of creative, loving community, we can’t wait to host you.
Guest Access
The cabin is designed for single-level living. Please note the two entry options:
- The front door is accessed via six exterior steps and has the keypad for entry.
- A gently sloping path from the driveway leads to the back porch, offering stair-free access directly into the kitchen.
- One person from your group will need to enter through the front door first to unlock the back door for others wishing to use the stair-free path. Your unique door code for keyless entry will be provided prior to your arrival.
Location
The location of the cabin is the best of two worlds - beautiful, quiet, and serene rural life while also located really close to grocery stores and restaurants.

Other Details to Note
Maine Nature: You will be immersed in a natural forest environment. This includes local wildlife and insects (like black flies, mosquitoes, and ticks, especially in warmer months). We are grateful to the many species who share the land in which these bugs are their food source, but we also provide bug spray and Thermocell to assist with your health and comfort. For a bug-free experience, a winter visit is a wonderful option.
Connectivity: The cabin does not have a TV. However, the high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi is excellent for streaming movies and shows on your personal devices. Please be aware that cell phone service can be intermittent depending on your carrier.
Wood Stove: The wood stove is only available for guest use between November and April.
AC and Heat: The cabin also has a split unit for ultra comfort in all seasons.
If all this sounds good, add this cabin to your saved list or better yet, instant book your stay. We look forward to hosting you.

We are more hotel people, admittedly, we love tons of things close by. This however, made us feel right at home. The cleanest place I have ever stayed. I even saw someone else say this in the guest book, they felt like the first people to ever stay there. We did too it was that clean! No detail was left out. You need it? It’s probably there and even has instructions on it. I wish all Air BNB’s were as well taken care of as this one. The hosts are very kind, they are on property which I honestly was comforted by. You never see them but just knowing they are there if you need them when you’re not used to be in the middle of the woods made me feel secure. It was a great place to unwind after a day at Acadia. I’ll always remember opening those shades in the morning and seeing those beautiful pines. For those of you like me who are nervous away from everything, it’s only 20 mins, it’s worth staying here just to look up at night and see the unbelievable amount of stars. Well done!
